One major problem with "apps" is how so many of them use tiny text that is nearly impossible to read. I came across that problem today trying to update my billing information for Verizon.

Android apps really do frustrate me sometimes. I just spent who knows how long trying to use a well known pharmacy's app to get my thyroid pill prescription delivered.

I am considering buying a new paper white since it can do reverse contrast. I can see light text on a dark background so much better and it's much easier on my eyes.

On a whim I bought a Carson Blackwave 10x50 Monocular because it was cheap and my old one had warn out. I wouldn't call this telescope perfect for me but it seems good and cheap enough I can always have it out which is handy being visually impaired.

I miss using my bright green j cups like I could at Trinium. I just can't see the black ones. They don't seem to make colored ones that would work with our rack. I have searched.

I saw an interesting article today comparing dark mode to light mode. It verified what I know is accurate for myself. Dark mode is better for users with visual impairments.

One thing I've noticed long ago and have probably complained about it before is is that restaurants have some of the worst websites out there. Their fancy but slow and have only useless information on the often times.

My old trusty Vanguard DM 8250 telescope wore out. That was a perfect one for me, and sadly, they don't seem to make them anymore. The hunt begins for something else.

The thing about being visually impaired is like I am is I can never have too many magnifiers lying around. I don't like fancy ones. I like cheap ones. I came across this Bausch & Lomb one on Amazon that looked like it'd be the type i like to use.

I love my android devices, but I have noticed a lot of the apps have pretty poor accessibility. I'm sure things will improve over time, but it can be frustrating at times.

The Kindle allows me to read again. Large print books were prohibitively expensive with print not quite large enough. Not only that but the selection was typically poor and catered to old people. The Kindle lets me make anything large print thats on there.

What is the deal with restaurants having such terrible websites. The worst aspect is how so many of them have a poor picture of the menu instead of text.

I read about Google Chrome so I had to try it out. I didn't like it. No menus and no title bar kill it for me. No addons made it a real no go for me.

Thee other day I stumbled on a website for a Pizza place in Mount Joy. It was a terrible website that required flash or didn't give you any information. I hate flash websites for the sake of being "pretty"

I got to spend a couple of hours in a book store yesterday. I love books! I could have left if a car load of books if I had the money and could see them. large print books are so expensive and there's such a poor selection of them it sucks.

CAPTCHAs strike again. I came across a website this morning that I just was unable to sign up for. They lost when the text in the picture was too distorted to read.
