Last night, I was woken up by thunder. We had a decent storm with some very close lightning strikes. The storm looked spectacular, being lit up by the full moon after it passed.

Here in Mount Joy Yesterday we had our first thunderstorms of the year. The one in the morning just brought us heavy rain and a rumble of thunder. The ones last night brought lots more.

It was a nice surprise to get woken up about 2:30 or so last night by an unexpected thunderstorm. The storm itself was nothing special, but it being unexpected made it cool. There were a couple of close lightning strikes by the sounds of it.

Weather wise today was a pretty interesting day. All day long there was a strong south easterly wind. Eventually towards evening the clouds broke up and the sun came out for a bit. We had a decent thunderstorm in the evening then a better one a couple of hours later.

March seventh we had our first severe thunderstorm warning of 2022. My weather station recorded a maximum wind gust of 48.1 mph. It was a surprisingly good thunderstorm for early March here in Mount Joy, PA. Even had a couple of flashes of lightning.

I was sleeping pretty well when I got woken up by unexpected thunder. There was pretty good lightning with it and being the darkest part of the night it seemed extra bright.

We had a pretty good thunderstorm here this evening. On top of that, there was a nice double rainbow this evening as the storm moved off to the east.

We had a pretty good thunderstorm last night. Being in the middle of the night in the middle of November I was really impressed with it since conditions are not great for thunderstorms here in the fall.

It was another hot day today. The middle nineties type of heat made it too hot for me to workout. Fortunately the day was capped off with aa nice very heavy and cooling thunderstorm

The past couple of days have been hot and very humid with showers and thunderstorms popping up every day. A nice cluster popped up this evening but missed us by a mile or two. We did get a nice view of cloud to ground lightning under the storm.

This morning there was a very fast moving line of thunderstorm moving through Pennsylvania. The severe thunderstorm warning had them moving 100 miles per hour. That's not something I remember seeing to often if ever.

We had a pretty impressive April thunderstorm race past us. WE didn't get directly under the cell but we got the edge which brought plenty of wind and of course thunder and lightning.

It's a chilly day with on and off heavy rain today. A few minutes ago I heard my first thunder of 2020. Hope we get in on some good storms this spring and summer.

February tornado? Sure. We didn't get one but the cell had rotation when it went over us. It did drop a tornado over in York county before geting here though

There was a potent thunderstorm today up towards Hershey, Lebanon. The sky was unusually clear for a day with thunderstorms this evening, so I got to watch the lightning flashing in and out of the distant storm.

We were away geocaching last week and as we were heading home we saw a nasty looking storm north of us. We never got under the storm but I saw reports of golf ball sized hail and a funnel cloud with it.

I got woken up by a nice surprise thunderstorm last night. Radar showed a line exploding with warnings to our west. We got under a break in the line but still had a nice light show.

I guess our storm shield has ended here. We wound up having a nice thunderstorm here with good winds. It wasn't severe but it was a good storm nonetheless.

Yesterday was a very humid day. Small thunderstorms were popping up but missing us. They seemed to be focused along the Susquehanna and were stationary.

Today will be the last day of this heat wave that has been affecting us here in central Pennsylvania. Hopefully it ends with a bang meaning good storms.

What an awesome line of storms we had move through here on Wednesday. There were even reports of tornadoes with the second line. Now on to the heat.

Last Saturday we ended up not getting any good thunderstorms here even though we were under the moderate risk. They tried to for m but not much could seem to make it. Got to watch some cool distant lighting to our north at least.

Last night was an interesting night. We had a couple of thunderstorms before I went to bed. Not anything major but it's still mid April. I got woken up at 4:30 AM by another storm.

We had near misses of thunderstorms yesterday and last night but nothing hit us. Early this morning I got woken up by thunder. Turned out a small one formed right over us.

We had an unusual occurrence There were thunderstorms popping up the past couple of days and they were moving from north east. Normally they go the opposite direction.

Earlier this afternoon it was looking good for thunderstorms. We only got some rain here since they ran out of time. Where they did hit they were slow moving and brought flash flooding.
