Storm's Bark Was Worse Than Its bite
The morning started out with thick clouds that hung around here until shortly after lunchtime. Around then the clouds began thinning and breaking up. It quickly became mostly clear by early this afternoon
It warmed up in the lower 80s with bright sunshine most of the afternoon. It was nice to relax on the patio and get some sun.
Late this afternoon we decided to walk over to Harvey’s BBQ for supper. Storms were popping on radar else we would have thought about eating outside over there.
We got outside to see some ominous looking thunderstorm clouds approaching from the west. They were some of the darkest looking clouds I have seen in a long time.
We were seated near the big windows in the back so we were able to watch the storm. A little wind a and a bit of rain but all in all a bag fat nothingburger.
That is often the case with storms approaching from that direction though. It was a chance to get some neat pictures at least! The outflow just out ran the storm. It reminded me of one time down in Cape May around a decade ago.
Shelf Cloud Approaching

This was one of the neater pictures have gotten from a storm from underneath the shelf cloud looking towards the clear blue skies to the south. I just don’t remember being this kind of view very often in my life.
