Neatly Lit Early Morning Cumulus Clouds

This morning we had a couple of light showers, then a few flashes of lightning with a passing cluster of showers and storms. That occurred just a little before dawn. The rain didn’t amount to much here in Mount Joy, but it was nice to listen to the rain and thunder.

The delightful bonus of this was come dawn with had faIrly bright and colorfor skies. I was unable to get a great picture of it, as it was fading by the time I got back outside with my phone. Their sky had scattered low clouds with plenty of clear patches, along with a very light, misty, falling drizzle.

By sunrise or just before, the storms had moved east, but there were lingering cumulus clouds. That have the unique chance to see the sun hitting them and illuminating them from below the horizon. There were plenty of low clouds that were dark grey, but through the breaks I was able to see the cumulus clouds be yellow, orange, and white from the sun hitting the higher parts.
