Morning Clouds And Moon Near Sunrise

This morning we had some clouds, but the sky was not actually overcast for a change. The past couple of days have been drier too, so I figured it was a good idea to water the waning garden. I noticed it needed it yesterday afternoon.

I like to water it before the sun is actually up. My logic is that I am already awake, so I might as well do it then. I figure it would allow the water to soak into the ground a little more before it starts evaporating. The humidity is usually high then, and there isn’t much of a breeze.

We should get another month or so out of the tomato plants, I would guess, before a frost. It could be sooner, but fresh-from-the-plant tomatoes tend to taste better in my salads than ones from the store. A fun fact is we didn’t even plant them this year. They seceded themselves from last year.

While I was out there, I noticed some color in the sky off to the east. The partial moon was also shining brightly through the thin clouds. Shortly after I was done, I noticed the clouds overhead starting to get slightly colored, so I went out to see if the moon was shining through. It was! The picture doesn’t do it justice, really, but I did get this one for my memories and to share the uniqueness of this morning’s dawn.

Morning Clouds And Moon

Here is a photo of slightly pinkish-orange clouds with the moon shining through near sunrise.

Nature is the amazing!
