Last Night's Post Storm Double Rainbow And Sunset
Recently I have been thinking about the fact that I really haven’t seen any rainbows this summer; therefore, I haven’t posted any. The timing of the storms hasn’t been right for one and stuff like that. I actually had thought of it yesterday morning when I was checking the milkweed for caterpillars. I know monarchs have visited.
Storms began approaching and pulsing in intensity slowly from the west early this evening. The section that went over us weakened some before congealing into a line just past us, but we still got a bit of rain. There was a pretty heavy rain falling with the sun coming out at one point, so I threw on my shoes to look for a rainbow. I didn’t see any then, so I came back in to watch the Phillies game.
Later the rain lightened, but the sun came out more strongly, so I went out again. Sure enough, there was a vivid rainbow. It was a nice vivid one too, with the fainter secondary one above it.
While I was out there, the lightning was flashing to the southeast, and it was still thundering pretty good. It would be so awesome to catch a picture of lightning with the rainbows someday.
Post Storm Double Rainbow

I came back in to watch the game and listen to the rumbling of the storms trained to our southeast. Reminded me of summers growing up.
Towards sunset, I started seeing some orange when it was getting close to sunset. I put my shoes back on to look and got a pretty decent sunset.
Post Storm Sunset

As always, I share this stuff to remember it for myself, and maybe someone might see a bright spot in the chaos of this world.
