I just ate my first, well, technically second, tomato sandwich from our tomato plants. The first was with cherry tomatoes, but I just ate my first one from the larger tomatoes.

We have had fast food twice in the past few weeks. At least what I think of as fast food. It was okay I guess but it made me realize how often we used to eat it and how expensive it's become.

We had a gift card so we tried mission BBQ out in Lancaster. It wasn't terrible and it wasn't great either. I could do without all the patriotic stuff.

We tried a new place for supper, and it was pretty good, I thought. Time 2 Eat had recently opened. It's nearby enough to walk over to grab. It's great to have another option.

J.B. Dawsons in Lancaster has the best ribs that I have had around here. Other places have decent but inconstant ribs, but at this place they're always just right.

One of the nice things about living here in Lancaster County is that there are small stands at some farms. There's one just outside of Mount Joy that we tend to buy strawberries from and other stuff as it comes into season.

Ever since the pandemic began, we've been trying to follow the guidelines as best we could. Now that we've had our second vaccine shot, we decided we could go out to eat rather than do takeout, and it was weird but good.

It's Friday today so we did our normal takeout from Joy's Tavern. As always it was good. After eating and drinking I got the Street Parking vault WOD done.

There are two things that I miss from breakfast around here that you just don't really see that often. Back in Andalusia I wold often get a pork roll and cheese sandwich. You also don't see Scrapple around here as much on menus.

My girlfriend has been wanting black licorice ice cream for years but we could never find it. I finally managed to find some online so I ordered her some. It was surprisingly good.

We got our food and adult slushies for takeout from Joy's Tavern again. It's been good every time. I'm looking forward to going in there when the pandemic settles down.

We went to Little Dippers in Mount Joy for our first time this summer to get ice cream. They have it from the Penn State Creamery and that is hands down some of the best ice cream that I've ever had.

Blueberries were on sale at the store so I got them. They were actually pretty good too. Not as good as the fresh ones I picked up at the mountains in the summer but these were greet for store bought ones.

I could eat a legit cheese steak right now. I mean a good Philly type one, not one that you typically can find around here that's called a Philly Cheese steak, but it's all wrong.

We decided to go to Harvey's BBQ and I got something new for me. I love their pulled pork and brisket but the southern lasagna looked interesting to me. It was good!

At this point of the year it would have been getting close to my dad's birthday. That got me thinking and remembering how we'd get mostly Luca pizza every Thursday. That was his payday.

We have been meaning to get back to harvey's BBQ for quite a while. Today it worked out that we could walk over. I got their ribs and they were amazing.

We love going to Rosie's Tavola in Mount Joy. They have the best italian food and it's so unique. The drinks are good too plus the fact that it's about a block walk is a good bonus.

One of the things that I miss about growing up in the Philly area is how readily available soft pretzels were. Everyplace sold them. Shit, in the city they were sold on some corners.

I could eat some pitza from Senapes. That was one of the things I ate a lot of at the mountains when we camped at 8 bees near Hazleton. It was just so good.
