Reminded Of Pop's Magnolia Tree

For supper tonight we decided to take the nice short walk over to Harvey’s BBQ. We had an urge for the food, and who doesn’t want an enjoyable walk in this beautiful weather?

Being that it’s siblings day, my brother was on my mind. When we were little, my oldest brother and I were close. We grew apart over the years, but I was thinking of those simpler times all day long.

Actually, I started thinking about it when we were at my stepdaughter’s house too, when they mentioned a mulberry tree. We had one in our yard at one point. I can’t forget getting yelled at for all the stains from playing under it and climbing it.

While we were walking to Harvey’s, I noticed that the tree in their yard was in full bloom.

This is a picture of a tree with numerous pink flowers. It is the whole tree. There is a clear blue sky behind it where it is not blocked by structures and other trees.

This tree reminded me a lot of Pop’s old yard. He had a magnolia tree in the front yard. I spent many hours climbing it with my brother, which he doesn’t remember, and also my cousin, who I was close to.

It was nice to be reminded of such good memories. It can be too easy to get caught up in negative thoughts. Flowers are always so great to see, and that will put me in a better mood any day too.
