Summary

When I woke up this morning it was much colder than yesterday. The temperature was in the middle single digits below zero. The actual low before dawn was nearly -9.4 ℉, by far the coldest I have experienced. Dawn brought mostly clear skies. Just some clouds near the southern and southeastern horizons. It had barely broken into the teens by mid morning under sunny skies. Late this afternoon some clouds moved in and the temperature dropped back into the middle teens after a high in the upper teens.
