Yet Another Mild November Day
This fall has been one featuring mild to ludicrously mild days. Sure, there have been some cooler days mixed in, and we’ve finally started getting some rainy days. Last Sunday was raw and rainy.
There have been many mild days, though. Many days when I find myself opening the windows. Today is one such day. Hell, we’ve even had nights this November where we’ve slept with the bedroom window open. I can’t recall doing that this late in the fall, at least not here. I always did before my girlfriend because I am a furnace. She’s always cold. She’s even cold in the summer.
This afternoon I managed to go sit outside in the bright sunshine. The temperature was in the middle 60s and made for a great opportunity to make some vitamin D for myself. I always seem to be low on vitamin D when I get tested. I wonder if it has to do with my parathyroid. Over the summer, I did not do a ton of sitting out on the patio because of my mental state, but I’ve been feeling better and up to being outside. The sun felt great on my face. It’s always so calming.
Today has been another dry day, but not as ridiculously dry as much of this autumn has been, and that’s a good thing. We have had hardly any rain, and there have been brush fires and burn bans everywhere.
As much as I love the cold and snow, it would just be wasted this time of the year. As an added bonus, with the warm fall, we haven’t turned the heat on yet. Not even a serious thought has been given to turning it on.
