Starting 2026 With Snow!

The forecast had mentioned the possibility of some snow showers last night, but oftentimes with these squalls they just don’t make it off the mountains. The line was looking really good last night on radar when I fell asleep. That was when it was still in the mountains, though. Being lame, I fell asleep well before midnight.

This morning when I woke up, I did the normal, took a piss and looked out the window when I stepped on the scale. That’s my morning routine! I noticed the ground was white. I also noticed that I was hearing the wind blow. It was also much cooler in the house than it had been when I went to bed last night.

The snow was nothing major, but it certainly is a nice thing to see and a great way to start off a new year. We did not have it here, or at least it didn’t wake me up, but I have seen reports of thundersnow not too far from Mount Joy.
