Slept With The Window Open In March?
It was a great sleep last night. Last night was the first time this year that we have been able to do so. It helps me sleep so much better. I guess maybe the white noise from outside helps me get good rest. The fresh air certainly helps too.
We don’t get to sleep with the window open as much as we like since we get smoked out by the firepits all summer long. As I have said numerous times before, if you enjoy your firepit, remember it’s assholes like this that will ruin it for you. Technically, in this borough I am sure there are not many properties with the space to use them and be legal. That was not happening last night, thankfully. The one neighbor half a block away lets theirs smolder all night long. It’s not uncommon to see a haze of smoke late at night when the air settles.
Last night the low was in the middle 50s, so it was perfect sleeping weather for me. That doesn’t happen often in early March. It was wonderful to be able to get a good night’s sleep with the fresh outside air coming in. Being outside in the 80-degree sunshine yesterday for a good period of time certainly helped put me in a good state to sleep well last night.
It was an outstanding day yesterday and a better night to sleep. It’s early in the year for this and was very much needed to help me with my funk. We will get back to reality weatherwise after today. Hopefully we get some good thunderstorms out of it today when the cold front moves through.
The blindingly bright lights from across the railroad tracks are a bit annoying too. That’s less of a problem once the trees have leaves on them. People around here, I think, have issues being scared of the dark.
