Running Sucks!

Anyone who knows me knows damn well that I am no fan of running at all. I even have the t-shirt my girlfriend bought me that says “running sucks.” A while back, when I was grabbing a shirt for my WOD, I noticed the shirt, and a light bulb went off in my head. I had to have some fun with that Halloween theme.

I took the idea of that shirt and knew I had to find a cheetah costume for Halloween and wear that shirt over it. It had to be something that I could still do a WOD in, though. I saw onesies, but that would be far too hot to wear, especially if I wanted to wear my running socks and a t-shirt over top of it. So that was out. I found something else that’s more of a spandex-type material, and that worked out perfectly. It wasn’t too hot and was comfortable enough to move in. Actually, it was very comfortable. Actually, it is super comfy.

Today’s WOD of all things was running and air squats. Worked out for that cheetah thing. The mask wasn’t great, so I only did the first round in it to make my girlfriend laugh. I couldn’t really see through it, but being visually impaired made that end up being not as big of a deal as it could have been :laughing:

I could tell she was holding back a laugh, so eventually, with the air squats, I figured out how to make the tail spin. Yes, it had a tail that you could pin on where you wanted it. She probably called me an asshole because I was messing up her clicking for my count.

The older I get, the more I become about just having fun and having even less fucks to give than I did before. I’ll do almost anything as long as it’s not purposely hurting or negatively affecting anyone else. If you’re going to do something, you have to go all in with it, and that’s what I did today. Life is short, and you only get one of them, so have fun with it and laugh as much as you can.
