MicroSD Cards Are Too Small
I had to get a new MicroSD card for my girlfriend’s music player. Don’t even get me started on how much I hate handling MicroSD cards. They are too tiny and thin, and my fingers are too fat.
I can understand their usefulness in tiny devices, but so many things use them. With my vision, it can be challenging to get it in the slot. My fat fingers don’t help.
Another annoyance is how many devices have to have a microscopic hole you need to put something in to eject it. It definitely keeps the card from coming out accidentally, but those ejector things are too small too. I have lost them. We won’t talk about how many times I have found myself crawling around on the floor feeling for one.
The nano SIM cards they like to use are similar. They are so tiny and easy to use. I prefer eSIMs because of that. I have spent hours of my life crawling around on the floor feeling around with my hand for ones that I dropped in the past. Between the thinness and lightness of them, I tend to not be able to feel them well. They fly away when you touch them too, it seems.
Most of the time when I mess with these things, it happens to be when my girlfriend is not home. Otherwise, if she were home, she would find it for me.
