Life Is Good - Beer And BBQ

We were able to go to visit my mom for Christmas this year. It was good but challenging at the same time. We got home not too late that day, but nothing was open.

We intended to go to Joy’s for supper and drinks late yesterday afternoon, but they were closing early because of the impending ice. Harvey’s was open, although they too were closing by the time we were done eating. She said they might do that, so we didn’t wait around to eat.

It wasn’t my first choice of places to go today, but the food is always good. I ended up getting the half and half, which is half pork and half brisket. Those were good along with the beans and mac and cheese. Nothing healthy about that meal, LMAO.

I had two beers too. The beer really compliment’s the food. For years I said they should have it. I had and have been getting their Bloody Well Right. It is a blood orange IPA, which I really do like.

They had us sitting at a table near the fireplace, which was really nice. It felt good in there, and it was nice and toasty. It was very calming and relaxing to me. The beer and the fire took me back to those days that seemed like ages ago, where I drank a lot of beer up the mountains.

There were some icy areas on the sidewalk by the time we left to walk home. I did not fall on my ass, but my girlfriend did.

Find the things that bring you peace in life and try to keep doing them. Try to keep yourself in a good headspace. We have only a limited number of days in this life, and the clock never stops ticking.
