Gulf Of Mexico Sunset

They hauled us around, showing us around the area while we were down in St. Pete. I had mentioned I wanted to see the sunset over the Gulf. We had actually looked a bit at staying on Treasure Island.

One of the things they did was take us to Madeira Beach for the sunset and then to some pirate bar afterward that was awesome. This was one of the things that has been on my to-do list of things I wanted to do if I ever wound up in Florida. Before my discovery, that was not even on the radar.

It was windy near the water and pretty breezy away from the water too. Thankful the sky had cleared during the day. It was raining in the morning, and the temperature was dropping into the 50s. I was thinking we would not be able to see the sunset, but it worked out.

Walking over to the beach, we saw these pelicans below us on the sand. At least I am pretty sure that is what they were. I hadn’t seen them before.

We went out onto the beach just as the sun was setting, and it was an amazing thing to see. If we lived down here, we would go out there every chance we got for the sunset.

We sat in the pirate bar for who knows how long just chatting and having a good time.

This is what my life is about these days. It’s all about experiencing it.
