Got A Bit Of Sun After Second WOD

After I wrapped up my second WOD I noticed that the garage was warm. Actually, I noticed it during the workout and was daydreaming about grabbing some cushions and getting some sun on me after I finished the workout. It was a simple one where I was able to get lost in thoughts. As a matter of fact, the sun was shining in the back door, so I did my air squats there where I could get the sun on my ass. That felt good, and it’s not rare that I do that.

Once I was finished, I threw my jeans on over my workout clothes. After I threw my jeans on, I grabbed the cushions and sat on the patio for a little while. That lasted until some thin clouds moved overhead. It was nice while it lasted, though. There was just a slight breeze with clear skies and temperatures in the upper 40s, so it made an enjoyable noon break.

The one annoying thing was the water or sap dripping from the neighbor’s maple tree. Ours did that too, and it could get on my nerves when the temperature was iffy. I also feel the need to keep checking that it’s not bird shit. That’s Mother Nature’s thing, though. The buds on that tree are really growing by February.

It was pretty quiet outside too. I didn’t have to hear the barrel guys throwing the barrels around. That doesn’t usually bother me too much, but it can be annoying. They tend to leave their truck running, which is something that works on my nerves. On a day like today with the southerly breeze, it would be blowing the diesel fumes up towards me. There were also no dogs barking, which was a great bonus. Our old neighbor would let their dog out in the yard, and it would bark for hours at a time.

Sitting out in the sun can put my mind at peace. More often than not, when I have a lot of mind clutter, the sun helps immensely too. Thankfully, right now I don’t have the mind clutter, but I do have the building excitement.
