What Is Not Here

No Trackers

There are no trackers on here of any kind. Zilch. You can look at the source code and see that there are not tons of requests to multiple domains. There is no need for that stuff on my personal website. The web server does keep a log, but there is nothing personal there beyond your IP address what your browser reports. That is not shared with anyone.

JavaScript

There are no JavaScripts of any type used on this site. That could, of course, change one day, and I will update this page to reflect so, but as of now there are none used. It is simply CSS and HTML and nothing more.

I am not saying that there is anything inherently wrong with JavaScript at all. I just see no reason to use it here on my personal website. Why should I expect you to run untrusted code to simply display text and pictures?

Cookies

There are no cookies used on this website at all. There is no need for them, so I don’t have any. Cookies serve a purpose sometimes, but I have no reason to make use of them.

Bloated

I try to keep these pages as lean as possible. Just because most internet connections are very fast these days doesn’t mean I don’t care about efficiency. I strive to have as little bloat as possible.

Other than those few large pages, most of these pages would easily qualify for the 250kb club even uncompressed. The larger pages are due to pictures, which I didn’t want to compromise the quality of, or the few pages with lots of content.

Money

I am sure you can see it, but there are zero ads on this website. I have no affiliate links or that sort of thing. An affiliate link may have slipped by from much older posts if I missed sanitizing a link. There were maybe one or two times I even shared one. If this ever changes, I will edit this part of the page out. I actually pay a small amount of money for the domain and hosting.

I do not see this ever really changing. This is more a place for me to express my thoughts and tinker with and sometimes break things.
